Adventure: "After The Fall"

Today I wanted to talk about my inspiration behind the photograph "After the Fall".

It was August 21, 2018, I was out for an early morning photography hike in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.  Straying from the path a few yards to scout for a spot to take some sunrise shots, I slipped and fell down the rock face of the mountain.

I had injured my left knee (I found out later that I tore my ACL and MCL) with too much pain to be able to stand let alone hike back to the trail.  I saw a rock ledge a few yards away and scooted myself and my gear across the mountain face to reposition on the ledge.  I took about 450 photos that morning before being rescued off the mountain.

This is one of the first photos I took "After The Fall".
